This game has a good battle system because you can have some cards that you randomly use for attacks. You can also move on a grid and expend stamina for moving more (known as sprinting). Unfortunately, even on easy it gets ruined by this difficulty spike. Youll either take on 20+ guys or fight level 40 enemies when youre not even level 20. Id rate it higher but theres no excuse for easy difficulty level to be this ridiculous. Another thing I dont like is that new party members are generally around level 1 when you have a far higher level.

This is a great game if you enjoy other tactical rpgs like FF Tactics. My biggest criticism is that there should be more cards, items, and character types and that I wish it was a bit longer. The story could also be better but whatever, the gameplay is great. Definitely worth the cheap price.

It is a good game but it is far too short :( completed with a couple of days. Just hope there is an add on soon tbh. Good game though so deserves at least 4/5

this one and tactical warrior are my favourite games on ios. they are exactly the way an stratgy/rpg game be like on a phone.

For the love of god, please make more games, IAPs... or anything honestly. I cannot get enough. This and tactical warrior are hands down the best games in the app store.

I would give it a 5 star, but there is this annoying stalemate that happens web I fight ogres. Please look into the logic on this as I was one shot away from winning.

The gameplay is very good, but the graphics could be better.

Its the graphics. I know, I know, youre very proud of your 5 year old daughter who did all the graphical design but look at your games. Really look. I have an iPhone 5. It has a retina display. Before that, I had an iPhone 4 and it too had a retina display. The 4S I did not have, but my friends did. Guess what? It also has a retina display. Its possible youve been too busy making awesome game design to realize that theres an awful lot of people out there who are not playing on their 3G or 3GS, even though I admit your current graphics are well behind the curve even for the 3G. Maybe you should take the confluence of events and hire an actual graphic artist before your next game? Id play your stuff all night long if the darn graphics werent so stupendously bad.

if you like his other work "tactical warrior" youll like this game. it has an interesting change of gameplay from his other work. the only problem is the spike in difficulty and maybe updates to lengthen the gameplay, but other wise a fun game if you like rpg strategies.

I like the graphics. I found them colorful and clear. What I really enjoy are the perfect length of the battles. Good job!

I love it I was sceptic at first but when it came up free for a day or two I snagged it and I love it . Its just the kinda games I like to play I even love the graphics lol simple and pixelated but thats what makes it good kind of a oldschool with new school feel and you have to use your brain . I even bought the expansion . I hope to see more content updated cause I will keep paying for it lol . A must download worth every penny

Lots to love about this indie strategy title. Obviously made with a lot of love and passion. I am having a blast. Add multiplayer and this would be a top iOS strategy title. Only one iap purchase and it opens an extra campaign so no gouging here. Highly recommended for turn based strategy fans.

Can I get a sequel with the same battle system. In addition you should be able to choose your level 1 skills. Otherwise this is flawless!!!! Thank you so much!

My lvl 30 marines marksmanship passive skill upgrade from lvl 7--> lvl 8 with 30% CRT hit redo to 13%. With the lvl up to 9, I got 16% CRT. In the battle called paladin the lvl 50 marines with lvl 10 marksmanship had 36% percent CRT. Plzzzzzzz fix that. Everything else look good. If you fix that I will continue buy the next new expansion patch that come out.

It is in no way a card game. The deck building is more of collecting moves for your leader to have a good rotation and frequency of your preferred attacks and abilities.

This and Tactical Warrior are the only two purchases Ive made for the iPhone. Brings me back to the good ol srpg days. Only thing I could wish for is a create your own character feature. Maybe a more dramatic story as well. ( I do write quite often if the creator is interested ).

Best mobile game I have ever played. If you like turn-based tactical RPGs, this is for u. Also not wasted time with travels, or grind quests, just straight to the battles. I prefer medieval age setting but still my fav mobile game despite that
